UB40’s New Album is #5 on the UK Album Chart!

April 26, 2024 by srg records

UB40 Returns To The Top Of The UK Charts With UB45! UB45, the 21st studio album from the world’s biggest selling reggae group UB40, is out now via SRG Records (Virgin/Universal). UB45 marks the band’s first appearance in the Top 5 on the UK Best Selling Albums chart in over 30 years! UB45 joins new releases from Taylor Swift, Pearl Jam, Beyonce, and The Weekend and is the only British band in the top 5.

UB45 sees the band do what they do best, with songs that fearlessly address societal issues and take a firm stand against the injustices of the world. This is apparent from the start with the opening track “Home”, complete with trademark UB40 beats and the powerful themes of inequality and bigotry. Other new recordings include lead single “Gimme Some Kinda Sign”, a cover of Brenton Wood’s 1967 track, plus a rendition of Bill Withers’ “Hope She’ll Be Happier”, “Trouble”, “Say Nothing”, “Fool Me Once”, and “Champion” which was the official anthem of the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
